Service Description

The Defense Academy is a premier lacrosse training program designed to develop dominant defenders at every level. Our proven training model has helped players achieve success at the highest stages of competition. What You’ll Learn Our comprehensive curriculum focuses on building elite defensive fundamentals, biomechanics, and advanced techniques, including: Takeaway Checks - Master setup, timing, accuracy, and power - Build a complete arsenal: Poke, Slap, Ding Dong, Over-the-Head, Kayak, Pencil, Rusty Gate, Butt Dig, Reaper, Forward & Back Wraps Ground Ball Dominance - Win every battle: open field, crease scrums, sideline scraps, Indian pick-ups, and pop-ins - Build technique, toughness and efficiency to secure possession Footwork & Dodging Defense - Learn lateral quickness and deceptive footwork to stay in front of attackers - Counter dodges like splits, rolls, and swims with body positioning and angles - Develop a back-step advantage to force turnovers and deny opportunities Passing, Clearing & Transition Play - Elevate your stick skills with crisp long passes, over-the-shoulder clears and walking the dog, all with box-style quickness - Become a threat in transition with give-and-go plays, step-down shots, and quick sticks - Master communication and decision-making under pressure The Defense Academy isn’t just training — it’s transformation.
